Macy’s is doing a special presentation of clothes, capsule collections and interactive experiences to transport you to Brazil (or Brasil…). They’re celebrating the country with tributes to the culture and color of Brasil. And it’s just in time for the summer. The store is bright and full of colors that remind you of the country. Mind you, I’ve never been there, but I am fully planning on going to the 2014 World Cup, so it’s in the works.
My mother is obsessed with all things rain forest and orchids, so Brazil is on her short list of places to visit. The Macy’s flagship in Herald Square has a display of the greenery from Brazil. But besides the plants and the colors, there is fashion to explore, including a Francisco Costa for Calvin Klein capsule collection, and 10% of the purchases going to the Amazon Rainforest when you purchase something from the “Mercado”.
Macy’s has also put together a cool interactive catalog with QR codes, videos and great imagery of Brazil. You can check it out online.
